Turkish Standardization Institute Certification: TSE and TSEK
TSE and TSEK Certification Consulting Services
For Turkish Standardization Institute certification (TSE and TSEK), our experts support you in preparing the documentation required for product and production site certification under TS standards or TSEK criteria. Doruksistem accompanies you at every stage of the certification process, from product formulation, Safety Data Sheets, labelling and production site arrangements to testing and analysis.

What Are the TSE and TSEK Certificates?
The TSE Certificate shows that a product is manufactured in conformity with the relevant Turkish Standard (TS). Once certified, the TSE mark may be used on the product in accordance with the rules set by TSE.
The TSEK (Quality Conformity) Certificate is issued for products for which no Turkish Standard exists yet. In this case, conformity is assessed on the basis of international standards, foreign national standards or recognised technical specifications. TSEK certification is therefore often preferred for innovative products and product groups for which a standard has not yet been published.
TSE also issues the Service Competence Certificate (HYB) for service providers and management system certificates such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for organisations.
Is the TSE Certificate Mandatory?
TSE and TSEK certificates are voluntary as a rule. However, for certain product groups, conformity with Turkish Standards has been made mandatory by communiqués issued by the relevant ministries; conformity checks are carried out when these products are placed on the market and imported. The general framework for product safety and technical regulations is set out in the Law No. 7223 on Product Safety and Technical Regulations.
Even where it is not mandatory, a TSE or TSEK certificate is valued in public procurement and by corporate buyers as a quality indicator that builds trust.
TSE Certification Process
- Identifying the standard: The Turkish Standard applicable to the product is determined; if there is none, the criteria to be used under TSEK are identified.
- Application: The application is submitted through the online application system of TSE, together with the required company documents and product information.
- Production site inspection: TSE auditors inspect on site whether production and quality control processes comply with the standard.
- Sampling and testing: Samples taken during the inspection are tested in the laboratory in accordance with the tests in the relevant standard.
- Certification decision: A certificate is issued for successful applications and an agreement on the use of the TSE mark is signed.
- Surveillance: The validity of the certificate is maintained through periodic surveillance audits and renewals.
For your Turkish Standardization Institute certification applications, Doruksistem prepares the documentation required at each of these steps and follows up the process on your behalf.
Documents Required for a TSE Application
The documents requested vary depending on the product and the type of application, but they generally include:
- Trade registry gazette and tax certificate
- Signature circular
- Trademark registration certificate, if a brand will be used on the product
- For contract manufacturing, the agreement with the manufacturer and the manufacturer’s details
- Technical information, formulation and label of the product
- Documents on production and quality control processes
When preparing your application file, Doruksistem checks that these documents are complete and up to date, helping to prevent delays caused by requests for additional documents. For the current list of documents and fees, the official announcements of TSE should be followed.
