This Communiqué covers consumer products placed on the market as final products and included in Annex-1.
This Communiqué, dated 29/6/2001 and numbered 4703, Law on Preparation and Implementation of Technical Legislation Regarding Products, Decree-Law on Organization and Duties of the Ministry of Customs and Trade, No. 640, dated 13/11/2001 and It has been prepared based on the Regulation on Market Surveillance and Inspection of Products, which was put into effect with the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2001/3529, and the Regulation on Market Surveillance and Inspection of the Ministry of Customs and Trade, published in the Official Gazette dated 12/6/2014 and numbered 29028.

Market surveillance and inspection of consumer products covered by this Communiqué is carried out by the Ministry in accordance with the provisions of the Market Surveillance and Inspection Regulation of the Ministry of Customs and Trade.
In case of detection of products that do not comply with the limits in Annex-1 of this Communiqué as a result of market surveillance and inspection activities carried out by the Ministry, the provisions of the Law on the Preparation and Implementation of the Technical Legislation Regarding the Products shall apply.
In cases where there is no provision in this Communiqué, the provisions of the Law on the Preparation and Implementation of the Technical Legislation Regarding the Products shall apply.
The Communiqué on Market Surveillance and Inspection Regarding the Content of Hazardous Chemicals of Some Consumer Products published in the Official Gazette dated 2/4/2011 and numbered 27893 has been repealed.
This Communiqué;
a) on the date of publication of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rows of the table in Annex-1,
b) other lines of the table in Annex-1 on 21/5/2015,
c) other provisions on the date of publication
enters into force.
