E-Commerce Product Safety Workshop – Day 1 | Ankara
On February 11, 2026, we successfully completed the first day of the Workshop on Updating Product Safety Legislation in E-Commerce, held in Ankara at Radisson Blu Hotel Ankara.
The program started with opening remarks by M. Halil Madazlı, Mehmet Mücahit Arvas, and Daniela Clejanu.
Throughout the day, the following key topics were addressed:
Participant and project introductions
Objectives, scope, and methodology of the workshop
Overview of ongoing regulatory activities
Evaluation of target group meeting outcomes
The first day provided a strong foundation for collaboration among public institutions, industry representatives, and experts, contributing to a shared vision in e-commerce product safety.

E-Commerce Product Safety Workshop – Day 2 | GPSR & DSA
On February 12, 2026, the second day of the workshop continued with intensive sessions focusing on the alignment of Türkiye’s draft legislation with EU regulations.
Key topics of the day included:
Proactive approaches under the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and Digital Services Act (DSA)
Obligations of intermediary service providers within the EU Customs Reform 2028 framework
Detailed legal assessment of draft legislative provisions
In addition, valuable contributions were made by:
• Teuta Rudi – Proactive approaches under GPSR & DSA
• Borana Kalemi – Customs Reform and platform obligations
• Mehmet Mücahit Arvas – Legal framework of the draft legislation
The second day delivered key insights into building a more transparent, compliant, and secure e-commerce ecosystem.

E-Commerce Product Safety Workshop – Day 3 | Final Evaluation
On February 13, 2026, we successfully completed the third and final day of the workshop, focusing on the comprehensive evaluation of the draft legislation.
The final day covered:
Overall framework of the draft regulation
Detailed technical and legal assessment of provisions
Implementation processes and potential sectoral impacts
The closing session, which included general evaluations and feedback, stood out as one of the most valuable outcomes of the workshop.
With the participation of Selçuk Bilgin and Handan Sözbilen Bilgin, the importance of collaboration between public and private stakeholders was once again emphasized.
