The KKDİK regulation change, which has been long-awaited by the Turkish Chemical industry and global chemical companies cooperating with Türkiye, was published in the Official Gazette dated December 23, 2023.
The “Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals” published in the Official Gazette dated 23/12/2023 and numbered 32408 contains official information on the amendments made to the KKDİK (Turkey REACH, TurkReach) Regulation.
In November 2023, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (MoEUCC) published the “Draft Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals”. In this draft, it was stated that the registration periods have been extended and the registration deadline and the details of the joint registration process will be determined within the framework of the Procedures and Principles to be published by the Ministry. Since the deadlines published in this draft affected the companies that would register within the scope of KKDİK, the chemical industry almost held its breath and waited.
Finally, with the “Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals” published on December 23, 2023, the updates made to the KKDİK Regulation became official. Thus, all uncertainties concerning the relevant persons and organizations have been eliminated.

The amendment postpones the registration deadlines for substance manufactured in or imported into Türkiye as follows:

Substances at ≥1 000 t/a
Substances classified as Aquatic Acute 1 and Aquatic Chronic 1 (H400, H410) at ≥100 t/a
CMR substances (Category 1A and 1B) at ≥1 t/a
31.12.2028
Substances at 100 – 1 000 t/a.
31.12.2030
Substances at 1 – 100 t/a
