New Webpages on ECHA’s Scientific Work
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched a new “Science” web section, designed as a one-stop hub for its science-related work. This initiative enhances the visibility of ECHA’s scientific activities, increases transparency, and facilitates access to ongoing discussions on chemical safety.
Science at the Core of ECHA’s Vision
Mike Rasenberg, Director of Hazard Assessment, underlined the importance of science in ECHA’s mission:
“Science is at the heart of ECHA’s vision; chemical safety through science, collaboration and knowledge. Scientific evidence is the foundation of all our regulatory decisions, opinions and advice. Our knowledge base is built on close collaboration with researchers, industry and other regulatory bodies.”
What the New Pages Offer
Scientific Committees and Expert Groups: Insights into their role in supporting regulatory processes.
Partnerships and Collaborations: Highlighting cooperation with academia, industry, and regulators.
Regulatory Research Needs: Key areas where scientific knowledge is essential.
Knowledge Hub: A collection of seminars, conference presentations, and scientific publications.
